5-Day Zanzibar Honeymoon Beach Holiday
Zanzibar Stone Town Prison Island Nungwi

Beach holiday
Three nights is enough to fall for Zanzibar if you spend them well. This short break is built for travelers with limited time: people adding a few beach days after a mainland safari, or anyone who wants a long weekend of warm water without a busy plan.
Your base is a luxury resort on Kendwa Beach, on the island’s northwest coast. The sand here faces west, so the sun sets over the sea, and the water is less affected by the low tides that pull the ocean far out on the east coast. The stay runs on an all-inclusive plan, which means meals and local drinks are covered and you never have to think about a bill at the bar.
One day is set aside for the island’s history. A guide takes you through the alleys of Stone Town, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and out by boat to Prison Island, with lunch included. The rest of the time belongs to the beach, the pool and the reef. Tanzania Tourism Safaris handles the airport meeting and every transfer, so the only decisions left are swim, snorkel or sleep.
A driver meets you outside the arrivals hall at Zanzibar’s international airport and takes you north across the island, past villages, spice farms and banana groves, to Kendwa. Check in, change into something light and head for the water. Kendwa’s long white beach is at its best in the late afternoon, when the light softens and the sun slides down toward the horizon. Dinner is at the resort, with local drinks included in your all-inclusive plan.
After an early breakfast, your guide collects you for a full day out. In Stone Town, walk past heavy carved doors, the coral-stone Old Fort and the seafront Forodhani Gardens, and step into the spice and fish stalls of Darajani Market. A short boat ride then takes you to Prison Island, where giant tortoises roam the grounds of a former quarantine station and the reef is good for a swim. Lunch is included on the tour, and you are back at the beach by evening.
Today has no fixed plan. The coral reefs off the north of the island are clear and colorful, and the resort can arrange a snorkeling or diving trip if you want to see them up close. If you prefer to stay on land, book a massage, read under a thatched umbrella or swim lengths in the pool. As the day ends, find a spot on the sand for the sunset, then enjoy a last dinner at the resort.
Breakfast is unhurried, and if your flight leaves later in the day there is time for one more swim or a walk along the shore. At the agreed hour your driver collects you for the trip back to Zanzibar’s international airport. If four days feels too short, extra nights can be added in Kendwa, or the trip can continue to another Tanzanian island, such as Pemba or Mafia.
Per person in US dollars. The price depends on when you travel and how many travelers share the trip.

For a first taste, yes. You get one full day of history in Stone Town and on Prison Island, plus two easy beach days. If you want more time on the sand, we can add nights in Kendwa or move you to a second beach on another coast.
Kendwa faces west, so you watch the sun set over the ocean, and the sea stays close to the beach for more of the day than on the east coast, where low tide can uncover a wide stretch of reef flat. It suits travelers who mainly want to swim.
It often does. Scheduled flights link Arusha and several Serengeti airstrips with Zanzibar, and we can time your arrival transfer to the flight. Ask us to pair these four days with any of our northern Tanzania safaris.

Excellent Trip of a Lifetime
Our family had the trip of a lifetime over the holidays. Our guides were amazing and always checked to make sure that we had everything we needed. In less than 2 weeks we got to do a short safari in Ngorongoro Crater, did a family visit as part of the cultural experience (my kids are still talking about how good the food was!!), visited Moshi for shopping, went to Dar Es Salaam and did a 2 day trip to Zanzibar. The logistics were all very smooth and the guides added humor and levity to the entire trip. We were in good hands and will never forget the hospitality shown to us while there. The best thing about the packages is that you can work with the team to tailor it to your exact timeline. We had to get back to work and school so opted for a short Christmas trip but we'll eventually go back to do a longer summer trip. Forever indebted for such a great experience!
Trip of a life time!! But why not go back?
BEST VACATION!!!! Eye opening, amazing, Beautiful and REAL. The safari was my favorite part. Seeing animals you learn about and dream of seeing right in front of your face. The food was great I ask you to be open and not get your norm. Safe? Yes. Of course there’s times you question a new country, area and people. There was never a moment I was in question of people or my surroundings. Next time I’m bring my kids they’re older and can help pay… hahaha. I heard it’s best not to go during the rainy Season it’s just easier and more enjoyable to get around. Just what people have said.
Great experience
Had a wonderful Safari experience in Nothern Tanzania. Got to see some Lions very closely. Best experience in a very long time tbh.
