   Your driver meets you at Abeid Amani Karume International Airport and takes you to your hotel in Stone Town, where a small honeymoon welcome waits in the room. Once you have settled in, a short boat ride carries you out to Prison Island (Changuu), home to a colony of giant Aldabra tortoises and fine views back over the town. Back on shore, take an easy stroll along the seafront before dinner at the hotel.

2. Day 2 Stone Town on Foot with a Local Guide Stay Boutique heritage hotel in Stone TownMeals Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

   After breakfast, set out with a local guide on a walking tour of Stone Town’s old quarter. Expect a maze of alleys lined with carved wooden doors, the coral-stone Old Fort, palaces and merchant houses from the sultans’ era, and the busy stalls of the bazaar, where spices, fabrics and coffee change hands. The afternoon is yours to shop, rest or sit on a rooftop terrace as the sun drops over the harbor.

3. Day 3 North to the Beaches of Nungwi Stay Beachfront resort in NungwiMeals Breakfast

   Leave the old town after breakfast and drive north across the island to Nungwi, at Zanzibar’s northern tip. Check in to your beachfront resort and spend the rest of the day as you please: swim, read under an umbrella or walk the shoreline. If you want more, snorkeling, scuba diving, a sunset dhow cruise or deep-sea fishing can all be booked locally at extra cost.

4. Day 4 A Free Day by the Indian Ocean Stay Beachfront resort in NungwiMeals Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

   There is no schedule today. Sleep in, take a couples’ treatment at the spa, or head out on the water if the reef is calling. Nungwi faces west, so late afternoon brings a clear view of the sun setting over the sea. The evening can end with a candlelit dinner set up on the sand, a quiet way to close your last full day on the island.

5. Day 5 Farewell Breakfast and Airport Transfer Meals Breakfast

   Enjoy a final unhurried breakfast and one more swim if your flight time allows. Most resorts ask for rooms by late morning, so keep a swimsuit and a change of clothes handy. At the agreed hour, your driver collects you from the resort for the transfer back to Zanzibar’s international airport for your onward flight. If you would like more time, extra beach nights or a mainland safari can be added before you book.
