Overview

Settle in and prepare for the adventure ahead.

2. Day 2 Arusha – Tarangire National Park Stay Marera Valley Lodge – KaratuMeals Breakfast, Lunch (picnic), Dinner

   After breakfast, depart for Tarangire National Park, an ecological haven known for its massive baobab trees and vast herds of elephants. The park’s namesake river draws wildlife throughout the year, especially during the dry season. Enjoy a full-day game drive among giraffes, zebras, oryx, kudu, and an array of birdlife, all set against the dramatic African landscape.

3. Day 3 Karatu – Serengeti National Park Stay Acacia Central Camp – SerengetiMeals Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

   Today you travel deep into the Serengeti, bypassing Ngorongoro Crater en route with a photo stop at the rim to take in its panoramic splendor. The drive to the Central Serengeti takes you through rolling highlands into the endless plains. Once in the park, you’ll begin game drives in the renowned Seronera Valley, home to lions, leopards, elephants, cheetahs, giraffes, and the ever-moving herds of wildebeest and zebra.

4. Day 4 Central Serengeti – Northern Serengeti (Mara River Region) Stay Serengeti Acacia Migration Camp – Northern SerengetiMeals Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

   After breakfast, set off for the Northern Serengeti, the seasonal hub of the Great Migration. Along the way, you’ll witness the changing terrain and expanding herds of grazers. The Mara River crossings, where wildebeest plunge into crocodile-infested waters—offer the ultimate wildlife spectacle. Game drives this day focus on tracking these movements and observing predator-prey dynamics in real time.

5. Day 5 Full Day in Northern Serengeti Stay Serengeti Acacia Migration Camp – Northern SerengetiMeals Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

   Enjoy a full day of uninterrupted game drives in one of the Serengeti’s least crowded and most biologically active regions. The Lobo area and Grumeti River corridors offer sightings of permanent wildlife residents, elephants, lions, leopards, buffalo, and cheetahs. Bird lovers will also delight in spotting fish eagles, kingfishers, and herons along the riverbanks.

   Optional: Take a sunrise hot air balloon safari over the Serengeti (extra cost)—an unforgettable way to witness the wilderness from above.

6. Day 6 Northern Serengeti – Karatu (via Central Serengeti & Ngorongoro Highlands) Stay Marera Valley Lodge – KaratuMeals Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

   Begin with a sunrise game drive, then return to camp for breakfast and collect lunch boxes. Journey south through the Serengeti toward the Ngorongoro Highlands, where lush farmlands contrast with the golden plains. Arrive in Karatu by late afternoon for a relaxing evening.

7. Day 7 Ngorongoro Crater – Return to Arusha / Departure Meals Breakfast, Lunch

   After an early breakfast, descend into the Ngorongoro Crater for a spectacular wildlife experience. This UNESCO World Heritage Site is home to an unparalleled concentration of animals—including all members of the Big Five. Enjoy sightings of black rhinos, lions, elephants, and flamingos gathered around the soda lakes. After a picnic lunch in the crater, ascend and drive back to Arusha or transfer to the airport for your onward flight.
